SENSE OF SELF
COUNSELLING
SERVICES
Our Services
Professional counselling and walk-and-talk therapy for adults supporting emotional wellbeing, life transitions and embodied healing.
We offer a calm, confidential space to explore what’s happening in your life — whether you are feeling overwhelmed, disconnected, grieving, or navigating a period of change.
With a special interest in somatic therapy, the work recognises the close relationship between mind and body, and how emotional experiences are often held physically. Sessions may take place in a traditional counselling setting or outdoors through walk-and-talk therapy, allowing movement and nature to support reflection and regulation.
Support is available for a wide range of concerns, including anxiety, loss, life transitions, identity changes, menopause, retirement, relationship difficulties, and evolving family dynamics. Each stage of life brings its own challenges, and therapy can offer a space to slow down, make sense of what you are experiencing, and strengthen your connection to yourself.
We work with: abuse, ADD/ADHD, AIDS/HIV, anger management, anxiety, autism spectrum, bereavement, cancer, child related issues, chronic fatigue syndrome/ME, depression, disability, eating disorders, family issues, health related issues, infertility, loss, low self-esteem, menopause, mood disorder, neurodiversity, obsessions, OCD, phobias, pregnancy related issues, redundancy, relationships, self-esteem, self-harm, sensory impairment, sex related issued, stress, trauma, women's issues, work related issues.
Walk & Talk
Offers counselling sessions outdoors, allowing movement and nature to support the therapeutic process. Walking side by side can feel less intense than sitting face to face and can help some people think more freely, regulate their emotions, and feel more at ease.
Counselling
One-to-one counselling in a safe, confidential space to talk through what’s happening in your life. Sessions offer time to reflect, make sense of your thoughts and emotions, and gain support through periods of change, difficulty, or uncertainty.
Somatic Approach
A body-based approach to therapy that recognises the close connection between physical sensations, emotions, and life experiences. Sessions gently explore how the body holds stress, memory, and feeling, supporting greater awareness, regulation, and a deeper sense of grounding and connection to yourself.
Counselling &
How I Work
I work as an integrative counsellor, offering a safe, non-judgmental space to explore areas of your life where you may feel stuck, whether shaped by past experiences or present challenges. With empathy and at your own pace, we can develop greater self-awareness, recognise unhelpful patterns, and reconnect with what feels authentic and meaningful for you.
The therapeutic relationship is central to this work, providing a confidential and supportive environment where you can feel heard, understood, and validated, even when it is hard to name what feels wrong. I work flexibly, drawing on different approaches to suit each individual, and support people with a wide range of difficulties, including life transitions, relationships, stress, anxiety, loss, depression, low self-esteem, addictive behaviours, amongst many others. Together, we can explore ways of coping, making sense of your experiences, and moving toward meaningful change.
You are welcome to get in touch for an initial conversation to see if this feels like the right support for you.

Walk & Talk
Someone can meet you here. You don’t have to hold it alone.
This is a place to pause, to be met with understanding, and to take a breath from carrying everything by yourself. Whatever you are facing, you can bring it into a space where you are listened to, supported, and not judged. someone who is there to walk with you, at your pace, rather than leaving you to navigate it on your own.

About Me
My own personal life experiences have shaped a strong commitment to supporting people through life’s challenges. I understand that at times life can feel overwhelming, uncertain, or difficult to make sense of. My aim is to offer a space where you can slow down, feel heard, and begin to understand what may be happening beneath the surface.
I first qualified as a massage therapist in 2001, where I saw how often emotional strain can present physically. Ongoing stress, unresolved conflict, and past experiences can show up in the body in subtle and not-so-subtle ways. This awareness led me to train as a counsellor, so I could offer a more integrated mind–body approach to therapy.
Above all, I offer a confidential, compassionate space where you can explore whatever feels important to you, at your own pace.
